AIP Breakfast: Red Flannel Hash
Updated: Dec 21, 2018
An easy and tasty breakfast idea for AIP! Nutrition facts at end of video.
Don't forget to check out my Real World AIP YouTube channel for new AIP recipe & inspiration videos every Thursday!
This recipe freezes very well! It can be made in big batches and portioned out and frozen for quick and easy breakfasts during the week.
You will need:
1/4 cup coconut oil or avocado oil
2 c of chopped cooked meat or poultry of any kind- I used beef brisket that I cooked in my crockpot overnight.
2 c cooked chopped AIP compliant white potato substitute- I use Yautia Blanca in the video, but sweet potato, taro, plantain or boiled unripe bananas would work perfectly too! (You can learn more about all of the starchy alternatives to sweet potato here!)
1 c chopped cooked beets
1/4 c minced onion
1 clove minced garlic or 1/4 c fresh chives
1 tsp Primal Palate Breakfast Blend (Or substitute a blend of garlic, onion, oregano, cinnamon, turmeric & sage)
1/2 cup coconut milk (bone broth or stock is fine if you can't have coconut.)
Salt to taste
Directions:
Thoroughly mix all ingredients except for the 1/4c oil in a big bowl.
Melt the coconut or avocado oil in a skillet and add the mixed ingredients. Cook until heated through and the potato substitute you've used starts to get browned and crispy.
Enjoy!!💕💕
